CASH partners with EarnBenefits/Seedco to provide a free program that helps you apply for public benefits. Benefits include housing, utilities, energy assistance, health, nutrition, tax credits, and more. Click here to fill out a intake form and CASH staff will contact you within 3-5 business days after getting your form.

Maryland's Department of Human Services has new fact sheets, in English and Spanish on COVID 19 FAQ for clients who are seeking benefits or renewing them. Please note that if your certification period ends in March or is due in April or May, you do not need to do anything. The revised recertification periods have been extended:

SNAP: Certification period-extended 6 month

TCA: Certification period-extended 6 months

TDAP: Certification period-extended 6 months

*MA: All MA recertifications ending March 2020 have been extended until June 30, 2020

Maryland Health Connection has opened an emergency special enrollment period for uninsured Marylanders during the State of Emergency for Coronavirus (COVID-19). To ensure Maryland residents receive access to affordable ACA-compliant insurance coverage during this crucial time, individuals can visit MarylandHealthConnection.gov or download the free “Enroll MHC” mobile app, then request or select “Coronavirus Emergency Special Enrollment Period.”

The coronavirus emergency special enrollment period will begin in March and ends Monday, June 15. Here are the dates coverage will begin, depending on what day you enrolled in a health plan:

Enroll by April 15, 2020, coverage starts April 1, 2020

Enroll April 16-May 15, 2020, coverage starts May 1, 2020

Enroll May 16-June 15, 2020, coverage starts June 1, 2020
