What is the cost for the classes?


Unless clearly stated, classes are FREE.

Who can take the classes?

Unless clearly stated, all classes are open to the public.

Who are the Educators?

Educators are from non-profit organizations, state or local agencies, faith-based groups, and businesses.

What are the Educators' qualifications to teach financial education?

All Educators must submit an application and their curriculum for approval before they can teach a class. Maryland CASH carefully reviews each Educator to make sure that they understand how to teach financial education and provide you with non-biased, fact-based information.

Do I have to take the classes in a specific order?

No, you can take one class at a time on any topic that you like.

Do I have to buy any financial products or services to take the classes?

Absolutely not! In fact, all Educators are required to sign an agreement that clearly states they cannot sell or market any products or services.

I'm not sure where to begin, what's the first step?

First you create a log-in and password (make sure they are easy for you to remember). We will ask you a few questions about yourself so that we can better understand the types of classes that we should offer. Next, look at all of the available classes and choose one. You are now registered for the class.

I can't find a class in my area, am I doing something wrong?

No, we are constantly adding classes every month, so keep checking back with us!

How long are the classes?

Most classes are an hour and a half long. Each class listing will show the length of the class.

Can these classes really help me to manage my money better?

Yes! Our Educators are experts who are ready to help you. Additionally, we can connect you with our partners who can provide you with individual help on a specific issue.

Do I have to share my personal financial information during the classes?

No, you can share as much or as little as you want with the Educator and your classmates.

Will any of my contact information (name, address, email) be sold or shared with other groups or companies?

Absolutely not!
