financial concepts to meet their personal financial goals. We expect you to teach your students to the
best of your ability and to provide fact-based and objective information. As a Maryland CASH Academy financial educator, you are acting independently as a private citizen volunteering with the Maryland CASH Campaign.

What is the Maryland CASH Academy?
A signature program of the Maryland CASH (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) Campaign, the
Maryland CASH Academy is an online calendar of free financial education classes, workshops and
events that offers a simple participant registration process by phone (410.528.8006) or internet
(www.mdcashacademy.org). Classes take place in-person across a variety of communities and explore topics such as banking, budgeting, credit & debt management, insurance, investing, savings, taxes, and more.
Additionally, the CASH Academy markets classes via its website, www.mdcashacademy.org, monthly e-newsletters, local publications and, soon, direct mailings and manages the registration
process for students.
How do I submit my classes to the calendar and registration system?
Once you have submitted the curriculum/lesson plan to be used in your class, you may use
a simple online form to enter the details of your upcoming class. This form is available at
What locations should I use for classes?
You can make arrangements to host your class in local libraries and community centers. We
recommend locations that are accessible, easily located and neutral. If you need assistance in
procuring a location, please contact the Maryland CASH Academy Program Manager.
When should I submit classes?
In order to maximize our marketing efforts, we ask that you submit classes at least 30 days in advance. This will allow us to promote classes through a variety of communication channels in a timely manner.
