About Us
The Maryland CASH (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) Campaign is a statewide non-profit that assists low- and moderate- income working families by offering financial education and asset building programs.
The Maryland CASH Academy provides free and low cost financial education classes through partnerships with service providers such as non-profits, banks, credit unions, educational institutions, and other financial professionals.
Our Mission
The Maryland CASH Campaign promotes financial stability for working families throughout the state of Maryland. The campaign focuses on helping working families maximize their financial opportunities and resources through the following activities:
- Marketing the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the dangers and costs of Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs) and similar loan products.
- Building the capacity of local jurisdictions to provide free income tax preparation and financial education/counseling to low and moderate income residents.
- Increasing awareness of financial issues impacting working families in Maryland.
- Advocating for policies that help working families to build strong financial futures.
